The NP Psychiatric Services team can help with anxiety, depression, mental wellness, bipolar disorder, attention deficit, panic attacks or anything else that concerns you! Our staff of Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners can provide medication management as well as other behavioral health services.
The team has extensive experience helping people with any mental health concerns they may have. Their approach to psychiatric care is to promote overall mental wellness through talk therapy and medication.
Bridgette L. Riley, PMHNP-BC
Ms. Riley is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a background in trauma and psychiatric care and is a decorated Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy. Her scope of practice includes psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis and treatment, and psychiatric medication management.
Lieutenant Commander Riley completed her BSN at SUNY Downstate and her Nurse Practitioner MSN and Mental Health credentials at Hunter College in New York.
During her service in the U.S. Navy, Ms. Riley spent 9 months in Afghanistan to support Operation Enduring Freedom where she worked as a key Trauma Team member. She also spent a year in Germany at the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center to triage incoming wounded service members and coordinate care for return to service or the U.S.
Since returning from active duty, LCDR Riley has worked at the Institute of Family Health Services in Manhattan as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner managing patients with all types of mental health issues, including substance abuse. Ms. Riley has also worked at WestMed Medical Group throughout Westchester and Fairfield Counties as a Family Nurse Practitioner managing patients in an urgent care setting.
LCDR Riley is a member of the American Psychiatric Nursing Association, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Emergency Nurses Association. She is certified in Pediatric Life Support, Advance Burn Life Support, Advance Cardiovascular Life Support and Trauma.
